Duracell AR Effects
AR + Social Media

I created a series of branded AR effects for Duracell that turned everyday moments into playful power-ups. Designed for TikTok and built in Effect House, the filters reached over 10 million views and transformed brand interaction into something users wanted to play with, not skip past.

Duracell wanted to reach a younger, tech-savvy audience who rely on battery power more than ever but rarely think about the brand behind it. Gen Z use batteries to fuel their remotes, cameras, gaming controllers and everyday devices, yet the brand had little relevance in their digital spaces. The challenge was to make Duracell feel fun, visible and worth engaging with as a brand that understands how they play, create and live.

I built the filters in Effect House using layered 3D assets, head tracking, and custom expressions to trigger animations based on face movement and screen interaction. I programmed logic that let the battery meter respond in real time to energy cues, making the effect feel alive and reactive. I handled everything from rigging and texture optimisation to timing the animation curves for maximum visual pop. Testing was done across multiple devices to ensure low latency and consistent performance, even under heavy motion. Each build was tuned for TikTok’s native behaviours so that interaction felt native, playful, and shareable.

A bold, interactive Framer site that showcases their creativity and case studies front and center. Smooth, scroll-based animations and hover effects to elevate engagement and brand perception. A scalable and maintainable platform built for both visual impact and strategic marketing growth.
