Immersive Creative Tech Community event
I led a cultural intervention at All Points East, building a creative tech activation that honoured the communities often excluded from the festivals happening on their own doorsteps. Using AR, VR, and live performance, I designed an experience rooted in the cultural richness of Tower Hamlets. From traditional clothing filters to immersive soundscapes, this was not just an activation. It was a celebration of heritage, presence, and the power of being seen.

All Points East takes place in Tower Hamlets, one of London’s most culturally rich boroughs, yet the festival crowd rarely reflected the people who actually live there. Despite being surrounded by Somali, Bengali, Indian, Caribbean and Turkish communities, there was little representation and even less invitation. The atmosphere felt exclusive, not inclusive. I saw an opportunity not just to create an activation, but to create belonging. This wasn’t about adding diversity for optics. It was about building something for the people who were always nearby, but never truly seen.
Conducted a UX audit to identify key friction points and opportunities.
Created wireframes and prototypes inspired by AIRSO’s minimalist hardware aesthetics.
Redesigned the website in Framer with interactive product showcases and smooth animations.
Integrated eCommerce-ready structure for seamless conversions.
My solution was to create a multi-sensory space that welcomed the communities outside the gates and brought them into the centre. I built an AR mirror that allowed people to see themselves in traditional Somali, Indian, and Bengali clothing, transforming reflection into representation. Alongside that, I showcased a VR experience designed to reduce anxiety, offering a calm reset in a space often defined by noise. I hosted live performances of traditional music for families to gather, listen, and feel seen. The entire experience was crafted to shift the energy from passive attendance to active belonging.
